ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION: (i) Bachelors degree from any university established and incorporated by law follow by (ii) Bachelor degree in Library and Information Science from a récognized university (iii) Candidates having 50% marks (for general category students) or 45% marks (for S.C & S.T. students) in BLIS will be eligible for admission in MLIS. 2. NUMBER OF SEATS:- Sanctioned seats will be 45 (Forty Five) each year, subject to formal approval of State Government. 4. SELECTION: Selection of candidate for admission shall be made in order of merit. Merit list sh be prepared on the basis of open competitive exam followed by viva-vice. Reservation of seats will be provided as per the State Government rules. |

| 22 | Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Safety Management | The Programme shall be of one year (Two Semester) duration. The ‘Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Safety Management’ shall be abbreviated as (PGDISM). The basic educational qualifications for admission to the course shall be a recognized degree or diploma in any branch of technology or engineering or a recognized Bachelor's degree in science with Physics or Chemistry as one of the subjects with minimum 45% marks. The maximum number of students to be admitted to the programme shall be 60 (50 seats open and 10 seats Sponsored). Ten seats shall be reserved for candidates sponsored by the employers. If suitable candidates are not available from this category, candidates from the unreserved category will be admitted in their place. Candidates sponsored by any State Govt. or Central Government shall be admitted on additional seats and such candidates shall be exempted from the written, but they must appear in interview and possess the qualification mentioned above. Admission to the First Semester in Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Safety Management course shall be made on the basis of marks obtained in the Test prescribed for the purpose. The test will comprise of 150 marks in which 100 marks will be exclusively for the written test and 50 marks for the Personal Interview. Thus the final selection will be made on the basis of total marks obtained in the written test and personal interview. The test prescribed for the purpose of Written test and Group Discussion or Personal Interview to be conducted at such place and at such time by board constituted by the Vice Chancellor. |
